Cheap Energy's electricity sources

Electricity sales emissions and electricity sources 2024

In 2024, the direct CO₂ emissions of the electricity we sold (total sales) were 383 g/kWh. The production of electricity from nuclear fuel generated 0,84 mgU/kWh of nuclear waste.

Our total electricity sales in 2024 were divided by energy source as follows:

  • Peat and fossil energy sources: 55,25%

  • Renewable energy sources: 14,52%

  • Nuclear power: 30,22%

Residual mix for 2024

The residual mix (in FIN) shows the energy sources used for electricity production that is not certified with guarantees of origin or whose origin is unknown.

The residual mix for 2024 (in FIN) was as follows:

  • Fossil energy sources and peat: 56,38%
  • Renewable energy sources: 12,78%
  • Nuclear energy: 30,84%

The average carbon dioxide emissions from electricity production based on the residual mix are 390,93 gCO2/kWh, and the amount of nuclear fuel used is 0,86 mg/kWh.
